Wayne Williams Wayne D. Williams, Chief Executive Officer

Wayne Williams has more than 15 years of experience founding and leading companies, as well as spearheading and implementing effective technology strategies. He was appointed CEO of Embarcadero Technologies in 2007, with overall responsibility of executing the company's global business strategies. He previously served as COO and Senior Vice President of Products and, before that, as CTO for more than seven years. As CTO, Wayne implemented a globalization strategy that successfully enabled the company to reduce its research and development costs by 40 percent and double its developer headcount.

Prior to joining Embarcadero, Wayne founded EngineeringPerformance Inc., which was acquired by Embarcadero in 2000. He was also a founding partner of TCSF, a software services company, where he held several key executive positions. He is the architect of several database-centric tools and technologies. Wayne graduated from CDI College of Business and Technology with a degree in computer science.

Jim LinesJim Lines, Chief Financial Officer

Jim Lines brings more than 25 years of financial experience to Embarcadero, where he is responsible for the company's financial operations. Before joining Embarcadero, he spent seven years as the CEO of Lines Consulting Group, which provided financial and operational services to private equity firms. Jim also held the position of CFO for United Surgical Partners International Inc., and ITI Marketing Services. Prior to these roles, he served 12 years in various financial management capacities at affiliates of AMR Corporation (American Airlines), including CFO of The SABRE Group. Jim earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.

James PittsJames Pitts, Chief Technology Officer

James Pitts joined Embarcadero in 2001 and was appointed chief Technology Officer in 2009 and brings more than 15 years of commercial software development experience to Embarcadero. Prior to that, as Vice President of Development and Program Management, James lead the design and innovation of all Embarcadero products. For the past 12 years, he has been involved in the database tools industry, holding key positions at several start-up companies such as DataMirror. Prior to entering the database tools industry, James spent three years in telecommunications, including work with Bell Mobility and Unitel. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Tony DelalamaTony de la Lama, SVP of Worldwide Research and Development

Tony de la Lama brings more than two decades of software industry experience to his position as Senior Vice President of Research and Development, including fifteen years with Borland Software. While serving as the Vice President and General Manager of Borland’s Java business, Tony led the growth of the company's Java products which grew from $25 million to $100 million in revenue in three years. Tony later drove the acquisition of TogetherSoft and became Vice President and General Manager of Borland’s Together business unit. Most recently, Tony served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Corporate Strategy for CollabNet, a provider of collaborative infrastructure for software development teams and corporate sponsor of the Subversion open source project. He also held senior executive positions at Tira Wireless and BEA Systems.

Michael SwindellMichael Swindell, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management

Michael Swindell brings more than 20 years of software development, product management and marketing experience to his role as Embarcadero's Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. Michael is responsible for Embarcadero's Marketing and Products organizations including corporate marketing, product management, product marketing, developer relations/evangelism and business development. Prior to joining Embarcadero, Michael held executive Product Management positions at Borland and Codegear bringing to market some of the most popular and award-winning development tools in history such as Delphi, C++Builder, and JBuilder and over $500 million in development tools product line revenue. Before Borland, Michael held product director roles at Imation/3M Corporation and Luminous Corporation, an Adobe spin-off.

Bob Couch brings more than 25 years of consumer and technology marketing experience to his role as Embarcadero's Vice President of Marketing. Bob oversees advertising, public relations, brand building, lead generation,social media and web management. Bob has held senior management positions in Silicon Valley with Visa USA, Zilog Semiconductors, Cap Epsilon Software, and most recently ResponseLogix. As Vice President of Marketing at ResponseLogix, he helped drive monthly revenue increases by over 900% within his first 18 months at this Software as a Service company.His software experience ranges from content and database management to SaaS. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, Bob was spent 16 years at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis as an executive in the marketing department where he developed his knowledge of, and love for, brand development. Bob holds a Masters Degree in Communications, and has taken additional executive training from the Wharton School of Business.

Allen LovettAllen Lovett, Vice President of Sales, Americas

Allen Lovett is an accomplished senior executive with 20+ years of experience in direct sales, channel sales and business development. As Embarcadero Technologies’ vice president of sales, Allen oversees the North and South American sales function. Most recently, Allen was executive vice president of field operations for Compiere, an open source software provider that was acquired by another Thoma Bravo company. Allen previously spent five years combined at Upshot, Siebel and Oracle, where he was vice president managing the CRM OnDemand functions of enterprise sales, SMB sales, telesales, pre-sales and business development. He has also held executive sales positions with SeeBeyond Technology and Remedy. Allen received a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico, and conducted graduate studies in Economics at the University of Utah.

Nigel BrownNigel Brown, Vice President and General Manager, International

Nigel Brown, who has spent more than 22 years in the IT sector, currently serves as Embarcadero's Vice President and General Manager, International. He is responsible for the company's international operations in Europe and Asia, including sales, marketing, support, and services. Nigel comes to Embarcadero after more than 10 years at Borland, where he headed up the CodeGear developer tools division in 2006. Prior to that, he was vice president of EMEA, growing it to Borland's largest and most successful region from 2000-2004. Before Borland, he was International Vice President at Uniplex for six years, joining from Lotus, where he held positions as UK corporate sales director and international marketing director over a five-year period. Nigel has a bachelor's degree, with honors, in management sciences and a diploma in industrial studies from Loughborough University UK, along with a diploma in marketing from the UK Institute of Marketing.

David IntersimoneDavid Intersimone, Vice President of Developer Relations and Chief Evangelist

David Intersimone (known to many as David I.) is a passionate and innovative software industry veteran-often referred to as a developer icon-who extols and educates the world on Embarcadero developer and database tools and runs the company’s rampant online community. He shares his visions as an active member of the industry speaking circuit and is tapped as an expert source by the media. He is a long-standing champion of architects, developers and database professionals and works to ensure that their needs are folded into Embarcadero's strategic product plans. Before Embarcadero, David spent more than 20 years with Borland in various evangelism, engineering, and development capacities, including creating the company's developer relations program. He previously served as Director of Product Services for Softsel Computer Products Inc. (now Merisel). David holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California.

Lorraine C. GneccoLorraine C. Gnecco, Vice President of Human Resources

Lorraine Gnecco joined Embarcadero in 2001, bringing with her more than 25 years of human resources experience. Lorraine directs Embarcadero's human resources and facilities functions, including recruiting, employee relations, organizational development, and operations. She was previously the Senior Vice President of Discovery Channel Retail, managing human resources, training, facilities, and legal. Prior to that, she held assorted positions at Wells Fargo, including Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Relations Officer for the data center. Lorraine has served on numerous non-profit boards, including board chairperson for A Safe Place (shelter for battered women), vice president for the Women's Philharmonic, vice president for Christmas in April in Oakland, and the Shanti Project.
