San Francisco, Calif. - Oct. 16, 2007 - Embarcadero^® Change Manager ^TM CM/Data^TM edged out Red Gate^® SQL Data Compare in a competitive performance analysis of the two data comparison tools in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Testing was performed by National Technical Systems (NTS), one of the nation's largest independent testing facilities.

CM/Data, a new cross-platform data compare module available with Change Manager 4.0, outperformed SQL Data Compare 5 in tests that measured how quickly each of the products compared selected datasets of approximately 42 GB each, which is a characteristic size of a small business database. CM/Data proved to be twice as fast as SQL Data Compare in a 100mb LAN environment and 24 times faster in a WAN environment.
