Maidenhead, UK – February 5, 2008—Embarcadero Technologies. Inc, a leading provider of cross-platform database tools, has today appointed Ludovic Neveu as its new EMEA sales director. In this role, Ludovic will be supporting the VP International, Nigel Brown, in growing the company's presence outside of its foundational strength in the Americas.

Reporting directly to Nigel, Ludovic is tasked with developing both the direct and indirect sales model through identifying the appropriate route to market within each region. He will also be forging new partnerships in existing regions to strengthen Embarcadero's presence and supporting further expansion in to new territories particularly Eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Mediterranean region.

Ludovic comes from a strong sales and marketing background, with more than 15 years experience in the IT sector with companies such as Borland and Symantec. He held various roles, latterly heading up Borland's developer tool business (CodeGear) across EMEA. Whilst at Borland he won various accolades such as EMEA sales director of the year, which he won twice.

"I am looking forward to working with Nigel once again alongside maximising the many opportunities that Embarcadero has to underline the brand and products here in Europe," said Ludovic. "Embarcadero is focused on building strong partnerships in order to grow alongside its partner base. There are many existing relationships that I want to solidify as well as new partnerships and territories to explore.

"It has a unique advantage over its competitors in that it can support the full lifecycle of data, due to its cross-platform capabilities. I was attracted to the role as I didn't want to join the biggest company, I wanted to join the smartest."

Ludovic has outlined plans to develop Embarcadero's current partner model to further build closer relationships and support his vision of an extended sales force in each territory. This will include increasing support of its partners through communications, marketing, training, and pre-sales support.
