Embarcadero forges new relationships with three new partners in less than three months
Maidenhead, UK – April 8, 2008—Embarcadero Technologies, a leading provider of cross-platform database tools, today announced that it has already signed three new partners since the appointment of the new sales director, Ludovic Neveu, at the start of the year. The new partners are bit Time Software from Italy, Bilgi ve Teknoloji Grubu (BTG) from Turkey and BSC Polska from Poland, all whom have been specifically chosen for their strong capabilities to develop or strengthen Embarcadero's presence across EMEA. BTG underlines Embarcadero's quest to penetrate new EMEA regions as it is the first partner the company has ever signed in Turkey, recognising the importance of this emerging market. Both bit Time Software and BSC are added to Embarcadero's existing Italian and Polish roster, and demonstrates the increasing demand for strong database tools in order to reap the associated competitive advantages. Yucel Tepekoy, managing partner and CEO at BTG, commented: "We were looking for a professional tool that could fill the gap within our original information lifecycle management offerings and Embarcadero was the perfect fit." Based in the Turkish capital of Ankara, BTG is well placed to leverage the many large IT projects that are based in the city whilst also expanding the strength of its existing commercial base in Istanbul. BTG has strong links to national and Government projects and tenders that Yucel believes is an ideal environment to sell database products due to the masses of data these organisations have to handle. Jaroslaw Kania, president and CEO at BSC Polska, echoed Yucel's thoughts: "We were also keen to extend our offering to ensure that we provided a complete end-to-end solution for our customers that want to develop and exploit the full potential of their databases and the data that resides within them." Poland is a market where demand for this technology and associated services is increasing. In an effort to take advantage of the buoyant market, BSC Polska was previously a pure application lifecycle management company and identified Embarcadero's product set as being a natural fit to expand its offering to include database lifecycle development. "Embarcadero is the only professional grade database tool that has the capability to operate across multiple platforms and databases, so it was an easy decision to add this to our existing portfolio," he concluded. Conversely, Fabrizio Bitti the CEO at bit Time Software has a background in software, being a developer himself. He was already an advocate as he has been using Embarcadero's flagship product, ER/Studio, for many years and strongly believes in the technical capabilities of the brand. "I believe that the Italian database tools market has strong possibilities for growth in the current climate and our focus is to ensure that our customers have the right products to do the best job they can." bit Time Software has a wide range of customers from various sectors ranging from the Government to Italian banks and telco companies and logically ER/Studio is the first product they will be selling, with additional Embarcadero products soon to follow. Fabizio continues: "Previously we never had any database tools products so Embarcadero is providing us with an additional sales channel that we wouldn't have been able to explore otherwise. The key selling points are the fact that it is one of the only cross database tools available and can help businesses to improve productivity and reduce complexity. The customers we have spoken to so far are really impressed with that." The additional partners are an indication the Embarcadero's expansion plans across EMEA are very much on track as it strives to grow the company's presence across this important region. They all commented on the strong support and training that Embarcadero is providing in order for them to succeed in their individual regions. Neveu said: "I am really pleased that we have managed to sign these new partners so quickly as it means that we have already managed to make an impact in less than three months which is exactly what I wanted. I think it's a good indication that Embarcadero is moving forwards in the right direction. "However, it is imperative that we don't lose sight of the fact that we need to maintain our current levels of support and training to our valued partners to ensure we really maximise sales and continue to expand both as a company and as a European network."
