FAQs
Will my RAD Studio XE2 also include the previous version Embarcadero Prism XE2?
Yes. RAD Studio XE2 won’t be updated to include Prism XE2.5 as part of the default install. With this offer you’ll have licenses for both Embarcadero Prism XE2 and XE2.5.
Do I have to install Embarcadero Prism XE2 before I install XE2.5?
No. You can just install XE2.5 if you only want to use the latest version. However, you do have to register at least one piece of your RAD Studio XE2 product before you get Prism XE2 so you could just install the Delphi and/or C++Builder portions of RAD Studio and register and then get your copy of Prism XE2.5.
If I purchased RAD Studio before May 15, 2012 can I still get a free copy of Embarcadero Prism XE2.5?
Only if you purchased maintenance for your RAD Studio license. If you have an active maintenance agreement, you will receive a notification to download Prism XE2.5 as well as a new Prism XE2.5 license from our Maintenance Portal.
